Entry table tutorial...

Finally got around to posting about my completed entry table.  This was such an easy project and I'm really happy with he way it turned out.  Here is the before...
 And here is the process...

 And here is the After...

Here are the supplies you need.  First I stained the wood with this stain below.  I wiped the stain after applying with a towel and then let it completely dry.  Then I watered down this clean white chalk paint just a little and put a coat over the top of the stain.  As soon as it dried I sanded it down until I got the look I wanted.  Easy Peasy!  I feel like it gave me the exact grey washed look I was going for. So if you are on the fence about grey washing some furniture...I say go for it!

Master bedroom one room challenge week 2...

Finally getting around to posting about my one room challenge this week.  Honestly, I have gotten nothing done this week except narrowed down some bedding that I like.  Do you ever shop the H&M home department?!  I love it because it is super affordable but still very nice and good quality.  Here is the bedding that I am leaning towards. Both from H&M Online.  The plan was to paint this week, but between my daughters birthday and talent shows, dance lessons and tennis lessons.  It just never happened.  Hoping to get started this week and then I can get moving on the decor!  Anyway, hoping I have more to share next week with you all!  Now go check out H&M home decor!

One Room Challenge/Master bedroom makeover!

Hi!  Andrea Here!  When I saw that the blog callingithome was hosting the one room challenge I decided that I had to be apart of it!  This meant I needed to get our blog back up and running!  So here I am, hoping to document my mini bedroom makeover.  We are renting this house and I have not yet done one thing to our master bedroom, other than put our furniture in here.  I thought this was the perfect time to get started and I am up for the challenge!  I will be posting here every Wednesday for six weeks to show my progress.  Here's the plan...

1.) First things first.  Paint the room!  I'm thinking of a white dove or swiss coffee by Benjamin Moore.  We are so lucky that the home owners have been so great about us making this place our own!
2.) Fluff the bedding a bit.  Not sure what this will look like quite yet but I'm thinking some new Euro pillows and fall layering.
3.) Adding some greenery.  I have a thing for plants these days.  :)
4.) Artwork for the walls.  I'm thinking texture and simple.
5.) And Im thinking maybe, but not sure yet about some simple airy curtains outlining the window.
6.) Adding the accessories.  Touches of gold and black and white.  Again, keeping it simple.

So there ya have it!  This is what the room looks like right now.  I think I'm off to a pretty good start.  I bought these gold table lamps a couple months back and love them.

And here are a couple of things I have been collecting for the room design.  I would put a board together but I honestly feel like this is just going to be one of those projects that will just come together as I find things I like.   Time to get started!  Check back with me next Wednesday for an update!

xo,
Andrea
